Listening to songs. Almost everyone listens to songs. But what songs we listen to & why we listen, varies among each & every individuals. As for me, i listen to songs not only for the music but also for the lyrics. Why?

Music will soothe, comfort & open up our souls, allowing the messages in the lyrics to be accepted by our minds & engraved in our hearts. Therefore, lyrics are as important as the music.

That's why i've posted my previous entry.

Entry Type: A lyric.
Song Genre: Nasyid.

At a first glance, this nasyid song, titled 'Damba Kasih' (Longing or hoping for love), may seem to be an ordinary sentimental & emotional song about love & relationship. The love & relationship between a gentleman & his lady.

However, in this song it isn't. It's potraying the relationship of a man & his GOD (Habluminallah). The Unconditional Love that He has for us. The way He treat us in the relationship. Things which we take for granted & sometimes we didn't even realise.

The further we're from Him, the nearer He is to us. Always trying to wake us up, bring us back to the right path & enlightening the darkness in our hearts with His Light of Hidayah.

The nearer we're to Him, the more tests He put us through. Always giving us the opportunity to improve ourselves, deepening our roots of faith & reminding us that we're nothing without Him.

So, for those who understands malay, i hope you will read the lyric &, understand, articulate, internalize & manifest the underlying meanings & messages.
