May peace be upon everyone and me!

Tick..tock..tick..tock..
10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1!!
Happy New Year!!
Generally when this caption is shouted, people will make new resolutions, improve their goals and plan new stuffs to be done.. They all will be in total euphoria, forgetting all those sadness and grief and celebrating all out!

But don't they remember.. their behavior and emotion is such an irony. In the midst of being happy about the arrival of 08, they are also indirectly celebrating the coming of the Day of Judgment or otherwise known as the End of The World.. Which is becoming nearer and nearer without us realizing it. Thus, although we generally fear the Day of Judgment but we acted as though we do not fear of its arrival. Na'uzubillah.

I think we as Muslims should be different in experiencing the new year. We should be grateful to Allah for allowing us to live for a new year; having the opportunities to do more good and to repent from the past sins. And since the coming of the End of The World is so near, we're also have to prepare ourselves for Allah's judgment. Insya Allah, we can achieve His Pleasure and be rewarded for our efforts.


-Reminiscences of 2007-

1) The decrease of my GPA from Yr1 Sem1 to Yr1 Sem2:
This failure of mine is a great setback for me. Having achieved a reasonably high GPA in the beginning and the achieve a reasonably low GPA later, woke me up! Some things that i've been doing were just ain't right.

2) INFUSION:
INFUSION aka Darul Makmur Mosque Youth Month. This is one of the events i've organized which was bittersweet. Till now i didn't know whether it's a success or otherwise. There were moments of achievements where program went well but not forgetting the moments of the not-so-well things where there were communication issues between the organizers and the mosque. hehehe..

3) The Regional Expedition
After the setbacks from my not-so-good results, i moved on with life by traveling here and there; doing some things that i haven't tried. In June, i went for a Selangor Adventure Camp with Darul Makmur Mosque as the usual thing.. as a Medic! Yay!
But the interesting thing was, once i arrived in Singapore early in the morning, i have to be prepared for my next trip to Central Java; Magelang.. For NTUMS Overseas Expedition as the usual thing with a twist.. as a Medic and.. as an English teacher for the Indonesia Kids. It was a WoW WoW Wee Wah thingy!! Cos it was like High5, teaching English Nursery Rhymes and watching those kids performing it in front of all people!! Super Cool! I was proud of them! Like a father until i cried and cried for the last day there! Woah~
Then, one week after the return from Indonesia, i went to Kuala Lumpur for a holiday with my family.

4) Blood N Roses
This is the 1st time in NTUMS or NTU history to have an orientation camp with totally all girls participants! And this time round i was still the Medic! Hahaha.. And this is when i met my lil' friend 'Social Panda' Eeeeekkkk!

5) 21st NTUMS Exco
A new challenge in my life began when i was given a new role in school.. I was no longer the Medic.. but the TDO (Training and Development Officer) for NTUMS who's job was to TDO ('sleep') hehehe..

6) 22nd.. 22nd.. 22nd..
Yeah! Tis is in fact the best part of the years of my life!! Becoming 22nd wasn't bad after all cos there were so many surprises.. Dinner at Carousel by a brother.. Baby gifts by NTUMS exco.. Chocolates from a brother.. A book from my coursemates.. A spider-man thumbdrive by a couple.. and a gift from GOD!

So.. it seems the list will go on and on... if i don't stop now..
All i know is.. with the arrival of Islamic New Year on 9th January 2008..
I'm going to be better than who i am before..
I will try my best not to repeat all my previous mistakes..
Ultimately I will keep on striving to shine and benefit others wherever I am!!
